Recommended Action: Approve Certificate of Appropriateness for replacement of non-original windows with historically appropriate wood-frame windows.

Historic Landmark Nomination — Fresno Water Tower, 2444 Fresno St
Public hearing to consider designation of the 1894 Fresno Water Tower at 2444 Fresno Street as a local historic landmark. The Romanesque Revival structure is one of the oldest surviving public works buildings in the San Joaquin Valley.
Recommended Action: Approve landmark designation and forward recommendation to City Council.

Demolition Review — Contributing Structure at 845 Fulton Mall
Review of proposed demolition of a 1922 commercial building at 845 Fulton Mall, identified as a contributing structure in the Downtown Historic District. Applicant proposes replacement with a five-story mixed-use development.
Recommended Action: Conduct review and provide recommendation on demolition permit.

Angela Rivera Madera Support

On behalf of Valley Children's Healthcare, I support the proposed crosswalk safety improvements near schools. We treat too many pediatric injuries from traffic incidents. The rapid flashing beacons and raised crosswalks in the proposal are proven safety measures. We'd welcome the opportunity to partner with the city on pedestrian safety education.
